Natalie Grant is now more popular than Amy Grant Print E-mail

Curb recording artist and GMA’s reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Natalie Grant, returns February 12 with Relentless, her highly anticipated seventh album. Produced by Grant’s husband, Grammy Award-nominee and Dove Award-winner Bernie Herms, as well as her longtime collaborator, Dove Award-winner Shaun Shankel, Relentless is Grant’s first studio recording in nearly three years.

ImageShowcasing a more progressive pop/rock sound than ever before, Grant wrote or co-wrote a majority of the project’s selections. Each song is hallmarked by her continued desire to communicate a direct message of hope, honesty and purpose.

“I wanted Relentless to be more raw and edgy—more authentic and less pristine,” Grant says. “Sometimes I think people assume women are supposed to always sing the introspective, soft songs—which they do beautifully—but I wanted moments where I could be bold and strong and show there’s a powerful, passionate message that a woman could deliver. That’s what I set out to do on Relentless.”

The project’s debut single, "In Better Hands," has already been a #1 hit at Inspirational radio.

Grant’s critically-acclaimed 2005 watershed release, Awaken, is currently #4 on Billboard’s Top Pop Catalog chart, selling more than 8,000 units last week alone.
