“Missing Pages,” the first radio single from Seventh Day Slumber’s new CD, Finally Awake, deals with those who feel alienated from others, and find comfort in cutting themselves with razors. Like most Seventh Day Slumber songs filled with grinding guitars and dynamic drumming, “Missing Pages,” along with the equally compelling “On My Way Home,” point to God as a healing, loving God who wants to help the lost and hurting, giving them hope, peace, and the ability to see themselves as worthy in a world where so many often feel worthless.
Lead singer Joseph Rojas, who used to be heavily involved in crime and drugs, found his identity in Christ and his life was changed for the better. He can easily relate to young people who are struggling with life and searching for hope, change, and something worth living for. Rojas recently became the new President and CEO of “Revolution Generation,” formerly known as “ZJAM.” This ministry includes a website, radio show, and mentorship program to reach teens in trouble. With the combination of “Revolution Generation” and Finally Awake, Rojas and company will be busy in the months to come, letting young people know God loves them and wants to help them through their struggles. |

Knowing that today’s kids and teens are looking to the media and the world to define their identity, the songs on Finally Awake suggest young people look to Christ instead.
