Superhero is the debut album from Christian teen/tween band MISSION SIX. The band just returned from Los Angeles where they attended the Teen Choice Awards, and they can be heard currently on Radio Disney (as well as RadioDisney.com) as well as numerous Christian radio stations around the country. The group appeals to Christian music lovers, plus fans of some of today's hottest artists such as the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus.
MISSION SIX's album was produced by Kevan Cyka and Dan Needham, who together are responsible for hit records from the likes of Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, JUMP5, Everlife and many more.
Ranging from ages 12-14, the boys of MISSION SIX are bringing their youthful energy to the Christian pop/rock scene, where they will surely appeal to fans of the Jonas Brothers, Everlife, PureNRG, Family Force Five and others. There is little doubt that MISSION SIX is proving themselves to be one of 2008’s breakout bands.
MISSION SIX quickly caught the attention of Radio Disney, where the band has been featured in recent months on the Radio Disney Incubator. Multiple music videos have been filmed for release this summer and fall. Averaging over 150 concert dates each year, the boys will join the 2008 Shoutfest Tour this fall, before teaming with The Rubyz for the 80-city iShine Tour.
The five young “super-musicians” that make up MISSION SIX reside in the small town of Evansville, Indiana. Noah (lead vocals, guitar), Issac (vocals, keys), Michael (vocals, bass), David (drums) and Anthony (lead guitar) are quick to point out that while there are only five band members, they have each decided to put God first in their lives, making him the official sixth member of the band.
“There is so much happening in the world right now that takes our direction away from the most important basic things in life,” says Noah. “We want to help our generation regroup and enjoy life with fun music and simple energy.”
Superhero is available from BEMA Media and Infinity Music Distribution. BEMA Media is a new label venture founded by Cyka with industry veterans Don Koch and Tom Johnson. For more information, visit MISSION SIX online at missionsixband.com. |
