Singer-songwriter Sarah Sadler's sophomore record, Where It Started, the follow-up release to her 2002 self-titled debut release on Nashville-based Essential Records, is now available from the independent label Audioluxe Records. You can find it online at CDBaby, and eventually on Amazon.com and iTunes, as well as select retail stores throughout the country. "We really wanted to make a record that didn't have rules," Sarah says. "The title Where It Started came out of a lyric from a song on the record called 'Pedaling Backwards'-- it represents my feeling that this is the project that defines me in a musical capacity and is also something that I can be proud of as an artist." Teaming up with her father, Gary Sadler (writer of worship songs such as "Ancient of Days," "Lord Most High," "He Will Come And Save You") to co-write and produce Where It Started, the Nashville-based artist says of the homegrown record, "It was a long time in the making, but well worth it." Sarah Sadler's 2002 Essential Records debut proved commercially successful for the artist with the release of her first single, "Beautiful," which maintained a Top 4 CHR radio spot for multiple weeks. Among other songs on the record, "Beautiful" has been featured in various TV/Film projects, including the 20th Century Fox major motion picture release, "Just Married," starring Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy, and the ABC original series, "The Last Resort." Among artists such as MercyMe, Michael W. Smith and Natalie Grant, Sarah was honored with a BDSCertified "Spin Award" in March of 2008 for the success that "Beautiful" has achieved through 30,000+ spins on Christian radio. In addition to her solo career, Sarah Sadler has been recognized for her contributions to numerous compilation projects such as the "This Is My Prayer" duet with Margaret Becker from The Prayer of Jabez: Music… A Worship Experience, "Draw Me" from Your Love Broke Through: The Worship Songs of Keith Green CD and "Next Door Savior" from the Max Lucado inspired Hymns project, "Next Door Savior." As a third generation professional musician, Sarah got her start in music at the age of nine when one of her original compositions was recorded on a children's music project. At the age of nineteen, Sarah signed to Nashville-based Essential Records and released her self-titled, debut record in 2002. |
