The Sanctuary Collection, a trilogy of thematic albums featuring chants and a variety of ambient instrumental and vocal selections, is now available at Christian retail and will release to mainstream outlets nationwide this summer. Created and produced by Johnny L. Bone, The Sanctuary Collection is comprised of Chants: Sacred Journeys, Heaven: The Eternal State, and Angels: In The Quietness. “It has been my desire to do a series of recordings like this for a long time,” said Bone.  “With the Chants project, I wanted to capture the peaceful and intriguing sound of worship from the Middle Ages.  And it is my hope that both the Heaven and Angels albums will be inspiring to people from all walks of life.”  

Featuring Gregorian-style chants performed by members of The Nashville Choir, Chants: Sacred Journeys contains 12 classical and traditional selections, including “Salve Caput Cruentatum,” “Be Thou My Vision,” “Hodie Christus Natus Est,” “Ave Verum” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”  

Groove-driven melodies, layered ambient textures and ethereal voices characterize Heaven: The Eternal State.  The album’s 12 musical selections were composed by Bone and feature vocals from Rebecca Frederick and Leann Thompson.  Highlights of Heaven: The Eternal State include “Enter The Gates,” “Mystery” and “City of God,” as well as the spoken poem, “Eternal Bliss,” which was written by Angie R. Garner.

Angels: In The Quietness showcases 10 instrumental offerings, as well as two vocal performances from Thompson, and the spoken poem, “Divine Fellowship,” also written by Garner. With appearances by acclaimed cellist John Catchings and harpist Amy Shreve, all of the project’s musical selections were composed by Bone for meditative times of worship and reflection.   

Chants: Sacred Journeys, Heaven: The Eternal State, and Angels: In The Quietness are sold separately with a suggested retail price of $7.99 each.  The Sanctuary Collection titles are available from Pure Blue Records and distributed nationally by Word Distribution.
