V3: girl groups are back Print E-mail

The soulful Stellar Award-nominated group V3 (sisters LaToya, Shelley, and Sacha Vinson) understand that music is about the people and giving them the power of choice. That’s why the trio are handing the power to pick songs for their upcoming album--a power which is normally held by the record label--over to their fans. This week the Atlanta socialites launched the Pick Your V3 Remix campaign on mypace.com/V3music, which allows fans to cast a vote for the song they want featured on the CD. Three new tracks will be polled on myspace every Friday, but only the top 5 songs will make the cut. The promotion ends May 9th.

Jonathan Nelson: Right Now Praise Print E-mail

The album is available on Integrity Music and is distributed in the U.S. by Provident-Integrity Distribution. It will also be distributed worldwide by Integrity International. Jason Crabb: white boy can 'sang!' Print E-mail

He may be white, but he sings like a black man. He's Jason Crabb, the soulful, energetic dynamo best known as the lead singer of his family group, The Crabb Family, which recently parted ways as a group (but not as a family). Anyway, Jason just signed his first solo recording deal with Spring Hill Music Group, Inc.

Tyscot Records, headquartered in Indianapolis, is pleased to announce the release of a new CD/DVD from Brent Jones & The T.P. Mobb. Their new CD/DVD, The Ultimate Weekend, originally scheduled for released on October 9, 2007, will now be released Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Jones just recently recorded the project live at the historic Capitol Records studio in Hollywood, California, and the new release features singing performances by Nysa Shenay and Orlando Wright.

DeWayne Woods: Stellar winner Print E-mail

On January 12th, DeWayne Woods' peers awarded him three Stellar Awards: New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Urban/Inspirational Single/Performance of the Year. In addition, P.J. Morton, writer of DeWayne’s megahit “Let Go”, walked away with a 2008 Stellar Award for Song Of The Year.

Rance Allen Group: Quartet of the Year Print E-mail
Tyscot Records’ THE RANCE ALLEN GROUP won “Quartet Of The Year” at the 23rd Annual Stellar Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. The group was nominated with “7 Sons of Soul,” “Mighty Clouds of Joy,” “Slim & The Supreme Angels,” and “Pilgrim Jubilee Singers.” The award was presented for the CLOSEST FRIEND album, which yielded the hit single of the same name.
