One of Christian Music’s most respected indie labels, Centricity Records, is making a strong debut with the newest artist on their roster, Lanae’ Hale, who has just released a six-song EP. _base_d on the strength of her vocals and original compositions on this offering, Hale has been honored with a placement as iTunes’ Discovery Download for the week of January 2, 2008. The featured song is “Spring Again,” an upbeat hooky, pop tune that compares the passing seasons with a renewal of spirit. Hale grew up in CoCo River, Florida and played in churches and coffeehouses to hone her skills as a singer/songwriter. In 2005, a fan sponsored Hale with entry fees to the prestigious GMA In The Rockies. Hale won second-place in two categories, Contemporary Christian Vocal 2 and Pop-Adult Contemporary/Inspirational Song.
After winning at the GMA event, Hale began her move to Nashville where she received an invitation by Mays to perform at Centricity’s Indie Summit in Seattle. Shortly afterwards, Hale signed with the label, began recording her six-song EP, and started touring with downhere and Jason Gray. Next year will be a development time for Hale with more touring dates to be announced soon and with upcoming radio and media coverage.
