A fan of all types of music, from pop to rock, jazz to blues, country to gospel, and hip-hop to soul, internationally-known Mark Weber loves music and loves to make people smile and feel good when he sings. He and his dad, a noted vibraphone player and drummer, have a band, Uptown, that makes thousands of people smile each year through great concerts.
Singing songs from the golden era of pop music, Weber has a way of making each audience member feel as if he's singing right to them and understands their lives and emotions-- sorrow, joy, peace, love, etc.
Weber has had a wonderful music career so far, having sung with Kenny Loggins, Ashley Cleveland, Kurt Carr, Anointed, Kiki Sheard, and bluesman Will McFarlane, among others. He has also personally talked with Mary J. Blige, Charlie Daniels, John Tesh, Dionne Warwick and other famous artists as a journalist, and garnered valuable life advice from each of them.
"Lately, I've been a big fan of Michael Buble's," says Weber. "He's the same age as me, we both like singing crooner-style songs, and he's not afraid to tackle all sorts of songs and make them his own, which is something I love to do, as well."
Uptown, the trio, is currently booking gigs for November through March 2009.
